The TrentoFilmfestival is the oldest and most acclaimed international festival of films featuring mountains, exploration and adventure. Under the artistic direction of Maurizio Nichetti, the 56th Festival will begin on 22 April and until 4 May will present a rich selection of fiction and documentary films.
The programme promises a wide selection of narrative and documentary auteur films presenting exciting stories of human beings in relation to nature, mountains and adventure.
A panorama of fiction and documentary films of all kinds and duration, ranging from subjects strictly connected with the mountains and mountaineering to environmental, social and historical ones, with an eclectic proposal of works that have mountain, exotic, or extreme landscapes constantly in the background.
Besides the programme of films, the festival also organises meetings, exhibitions, shows and “MontagnaLibri”, the international review of mountain publications and reference point for the book market of this sector.
