La volpe e l’urogallo by Silvano Fabris, Daniele Zovi and Antonio Di Lorenzo, ed. Terraferma.
A meeting with the authors
If we want to rediscover our innermost selves, we need to realise how much nature can offer us; nature puts on spectacles that are new to us, yet they have been happening for millennia and are still a mystery to many. La volpe e l’urogallo is a book of photographs that captures the flora and fauna that nature has generously given to us; it shows moments in life, glimpses of landscapes, plus beautiful flowers and animals throughout the seasons on the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni, between Trentino and Veneto.
Silvano Fabris was born in Asiago where he still lives today. He has loved photography and nature since he was a boy and has turned his love into his profession.
Daniele Zovi was born in Roana; he has a degree in Forestry Sciences. For ten years he has been Commander of Vicenza’s Provincial Forestry Corps. He has managed the forests and pastures of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni, worked in Europe’s virgin forests and looked after precious Alpine fauna, such as the capercaillie and the great black woodpecker.
